Flux
Signature Move
"Mirrorwalk" — Caien steps into the visual and neural profile of any nearby target, mimicking not just their appearance but emotional presence and energy pattern. This allows them to infiltrate enemy ranks, confuse pursuers, and shift the course of encounters by reframing perception.

Caien Sol
CODENAME:
Flux
Specialty:
Holographic mimicry, neural-lace infiltration, identity-mapping
Backstory:
Caien was born in the twilight years of Tavari, a world obsessed with self-construction and bio-customization. In a culture where who you were changed with trend, tech, and trauma, identities were not just chosen — they were sold.
The collapse came with the Identity Wars — a brutal conflict over the control of neural-lace implants and biometric sovereignty. Families turned on each other. Names became weapons. Bodies were rewritten mid-conflict.
Caien survived by becoming everyone and no one — learning to shift, mimic, adapt, and disappear. They eventually stole a prototype Neurophase Loop Core, a neural-mirroring interface that could map and assume not just someone’s face, but their emotional, behavioral, and cognitive patterns.
Fused with their own nervous system, the tech became organic. It now responds not to commands, but to intention.
They were nearly lost in the flux of borrowed identities until Glyph found them projecting as a Dominion officer in a stolen facility, feeding false data to upper command while sheltering a group of defectors.
Signature Move:
They also use "Echo Skin" — a delayed projection of past selves layered like holographic afterimages, used to distract or disorient enemies in high-risk escapes.
Core Wound:
Caien fears they’ve become the sum of who others needed them to be. Their deep wound is the loss of a core self — not knowing where mimicry ends and authenticity begins. In quiet moments, they sometimes stare into still water, waiting to see if something — or someone — stares back.
They hold a secret: they don’t remember their original voice.
Gift:
Flux can see through illusion instantly. Whether it’s a holographic disguise, a social mask, or a psychic projection, Caien instinctively senses what’s false — and more importantly, what's being hidden.
In conversation, they can reflect a person’s truth so accurately it’s as if the soul itself speaks back. This makes them invaluable for Flame 13’s deepest missions — not just infiltrating enemy structures, but unraveling the false programs inside people’s minds.
They remind the others: "Sometimes the only way to remember who you are is to become who you’re not… and find what stays."
